Crisis Relocation & Market Entry Under Extreme Constraints

Swiss Telecom & Incentives Platform

The Challenge

Context

Following the outbreak of war, the company had to urgently relocate its R&D and operations from Ukraine to a new jurisdiction — Kosovo — while maintaining business continuity.

Key Risks

Loss of key team members
Interruption of delivery and client services
Legal and tax uncertainty in a new jurisdiction
Lack of familiarity with the local regulatory and business context

Actions Taken

  • My Role: General Manager and Founder of the local entity, with full responsibility for the relocation, relaunch, and operational stabilisation.
  • Actions Taken
  • Registered and launched a fully compliant company in Kosovo in under 60 days
  • Relocated and relaunched R&D and operations within 3 months without interrupting business delivery
  • Designed and implemented a local HR and recruitment model
  • Established working relationships with key governmental and regulatory bodies (TAK, ARKB)
  • Built a sustainable operational foundation to support future growth

Key Outcomes

  • 25 hires within 6 months with approximately 5% attrition
  • Full delivery continuity preserved throughout the transition
  • Kosovo transformed from a perceived risk into a long-term operational advantage
  • Value Delivered: Turning unfamiliar jurisdictions into stable operational bases.
